Welcome to Auntie Anita's Cottage

I grew up on a farm. My mom rescued animals, so caring for animals is a right of passage in my family.  It's not a "side hustle" for me. It's my passion, my dream, my purpose. I have a degree in Psychology,  own two businesses and I'm a mom of two amazing kids. I have four shih tzus at the moment along with a variety of exotic animals. I have tons of experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea Pigs,  turtles (both aquatic and land), and fish. When I encounter a new species, I go over and beyond to learn everything about them and spare no expense to make sure they thrive and happy. I have experience with puppies, seniors, special needs, post-up recovery, medications, bathing, daily brushing, grooming, nail trims, etc. Your babies are my babies and they will be looking forward to play time with me, giving you a peace of mind while you have to be away. 🥰

Please let me know if you have any special needs or preferences.  I absolutely love and adore all breeds, but if you need someone who's an expert in Shih Tzu care, I'm your person!

Feel free to bring your pet's favorite bed, blanket, toy and anything they love to snuggle with. If you can, bring a pillow case or Tshirt you used the night before. Your scent is their most comforting tool when they are in a new environment.  

You will also need to bring their food and any treats you prefer them to have. We don't want any upset tummies!
